1. Brookside

​While it is a small neighborhood with around 9,000 residents, Brookside is among the popular neighborhoods in Stockton. It is situated about 3 miles away from downtown Stockton. It is bounded to the north by a waterway, Brookside Road to the east, and bordered to the west by the West Side Freeway.

The low crime rates, great schools, and varied employment opportunities make Brookside a great neighborhood for people with families.


There are many popular destinations for families like the Brookside Golf and Country where you can enjoy a walk and play golf in the beautiful course. You can also spend time with your family at the Buckley cove park and Nelson Park, where you get to enjoy several amenities as well as vast beautiful environs.

There are also many shopping centers and entertainment places throughout Brookside. The area also boasts great apartments, affordable condo communities, and houses both for rent and lease.


2. Village Oak

Valley Oak is among the largest neighborhoods in Stockton and is bounded to the east by West Lane and to the South by East Hammer. East Morado Lane is located to the north and Holman Road to the west.

The Valley Oak combines city life with its surrounding farmland. The life and food in the region have great diversity and have some pan-Asian influence from China, Korea, Vietnam, and Cambodia, among other places.


There are several schools in the area, including both private and public schools. The region is also close to the University of Pacific, which is the oldest chartered university in California.
The region is not lacking when it comes to entertainment. There is Valverde Park, where residents can enjoy several facilities, including picnic areas and playgrounds.

3. Spanos Park

Spanos Park is located north of the Stockton area. This is a rather quiet neighborhood with many highly rated elementary and high schools in the whole of the Stockton area. There is also lovely landscaping with beautiful arranged trees to give you one of the most immaculate views ever.

​The Spanos park is divided into two regions: Spanos Park East and Spanos Park West. The Spanos Park East boasts of beautiful kempt residences. Spanos Park West is a relatively new but boasts of several amenities, including parks, tennis courts, a clubhouse, an immaculate golf course for a unique golf experience, and a Reserve at Spanos Park Golf Course. The reserve showcases the magnificent sunrises and sunsets that give an incredible view.


Being the newer region of the two, Spanos Park West has beautiful new houses with a unified architecture. There are also several upper-end condos and apartments in Spanos Park West. The area has many business centers and dining amenities with the most notable ones being Target and a Walmart Supercenter.


4.Lincoln Village West

Lincoln Village West is one of Stockton's most established neighborhoods. It is on the Northside of Stockton and located west on the interstate 5 along the Benjamin Holt Drive. Pacific Avenue also bounds it to the west. This area was built mid-1960's and has become an attractive residential area ever since.


This Stockton neighborhood has excellent schools and great delta river views. On the north of Lincoln Village West is the Swenson Park. This park acts as a unique outdoor recreational area with a beautiful parkland-style golf course where you can enjoy playing golf.

Housing in Lincoln Village is diverse, with several apartments and single-family homes. There are also cheap condo communities available throughout the region.


5. Pacific

This neighborhood is a perfect residential area for lower-income people and those with families. There are many elementary and secondary schools in the area. The University of Pacific is among the notable educational institution in the neighborhood.
